The Ohio University football team wrapped up the camp portion of its preseason on Friday.
Head coach Frank Solich announced that redshirt senior Greg Windham will be the team’s starting quarterback heading into the season opener on Sept. 3 against Texas State. Solich made the declaration following a walkthrough inside Walter Fieldhouse.
“Greg is our starting quarterback. He’s earned it,” Solich said.
Windham, a fifth-year senior from Tampa, Fla., was locked in a three-way competition for the role at the start of camp. He was the clear winner 15 days later, said Ohio quarterbacks coach Scott Isphording.
