Ohio Bobcat head coach Frank Solich always preaches to his team that the “next game” is the most important game. But make no mistake, Tuesday night’s Peden Stadium matchup against Akron, with entry into the MAC Championship, on the line will be the most meaningful game any current Ohio player has played in a Bobcat uniform to date.

The Bobcats could have clinched the MAC East title with a win on the road against Central Michigan last week, but their narrow 27-20 defeat has turned Tuesday’s regular season finale against Akron into a “win and we’re in” scenario.
