Vols looking for better start against Ohio

Sure, Tennessee is 2-0 and hasn’t done anything yet to dent its hopes for competing for the Southeastern Conference championship and a possible berth in the College Football Playoff.

Undefeated after two weeks, but far from perfect, Tennessee — ranked No. 15 in both major college football polls this week — will be looking for a wire-to-wire showing against Ohio (1-1) on Saturday.

The Vols opened the season by beating Appalachian State, 20-13, in overtime, but trailed 13-3 at halftime. Tennessee’s only lead of the game came in the extra session.

A week later, Tennessee struggled out of the gates against Virginia Tech.
