Locked in a tight contest, in a vital home game, the Bobcats turned to sophomore point guard Jaaron Simmons to be the tipping point.

Ohio head coach Saul Phillips had little doubt how it would turn out.

“I’m going to let everyone in on a secret. Jaaron Simmons is pretty good,” Phillips said.

“He is the quintessential leader. If you’re in a tough spot, you want Jaaron on your side,” he continued. “If we locked the whole team in this room and say only one guy comes out…Jaaron probably saunters out of here 15 minutes later kind of giggling.
