It’s a small sample size to be sure, and there’s some variance expected with a young club, but early returns on the Ohio men’s basketball team indicate one strong suit for the Bobcats this season.
The Bobcats (3-2) have been lighting up the scoreboard on a consistent basis through the first two weeks of the 2014-15 season. Ohio is averaging 84.4 points per game (41st in the country). And the Bobcats are doing it in an efficient fashion; Ohio is averaging 1.126 points per offensive possession — the 46th highest number in the country.
It’s not bad for a team that returned just one player who got major minutes last season, and is relying on a bevy of freshmen for important stretches.
