MUNCIE, Ind. — The Bobcats scored more runs in a single inning than they had at any point this season.
It wasn’t enough.
Ohio, which led 13-4 halfway through, couldn’t hold on as Ball State rallied for a 17-14 victory in a wild, weather-hounded game Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats (11-15, 2-3 Mid-American Conference) gave up five runs in the sixth, four more in the seventh, and three in the eighth as strong winds and snow battered the competitors.
Michael Klein (0-2) took the loss for Ohio. He came on in the eighth, and allowed three runs on two hits and three walks during the decisive inning.
