PHILADELPHIA — Thanks to a brutal start, the Bobcats’ season came to an end.
Temple trailed just once, at 3-2, and kept Ohio University at arm’s distance throughout to post a 75-61 win Thursday night inside McGonigle Hall in a 2016 WNIT third-round game.
It was just the fourth loss since December for the Bobcats, but it was also the most damaging one. Ohio’s season ends with an overall record of 26-7.
“It was a rough one,” said Ohio women’s basketball coach Bob Boldon in a postgame radio interview. “We did a terrific job of hanging in there, but we just couldn’t get over that start.
