According to a post on her Facebook account, Chelsea Ale has resigned as the head diving coach for Ohio’s swim and dive team.

Ale is leaving her post for what she described as personal reasons.

“College coaching is very difficult, for a person to kind of have a life, and Athens is a hard place to live as a young professional, so (Ale) just decided to get out of college coaching altogether,” head coach Rachel-Komisarz Baugh said.

She was only in the position for one season.

In Ale’s two years prior to coming to Athens she was the diving coach of Western Kentucky's diving team.
