During the usual weekly press conference with Ohio’s football coach on Monday, Solich admitted his phone got a workout this weekend after the Bobcats bumped off Kent State, 27-26.

The win moved Solich’s career record to 159-92 (.632) overall, and 100-73 (.578) at Ohio. Solich joined Don Peden (1924-46, 121 wins) and Bill Hess (1958-77, 108) as the only coaches in program history to reach 100 wins.
