The Ohio Bobcats (1-1) take a trip west to Cincinnati on Saturday to play the surging Bearcats (3-0) at Nippert Stadium.
Prior to the season, Ohio was expected to be as good as it has ever been, and Cincinnati was expected to continue experiencing growing pains with UC’s second-year head coach Luke Fickell. That’s not how 2018 has played out entering week four of the season.
Ohio narrowly defeated a lower-division team in Howard to open the season on Sept. 1, the same day Cincinnati upset UCLA in the Rose Bowl Stadium. Then Cincinnati shut out southwest Ohio rival Miami in week two, and left week three this past Saturday with a perfect record and a new program-record 741 yards of offense against Alabama A&M University.
