MUNCIE, Ind. — Saul Phillips changed his starting lineup, and the Bobcats changed their status quo in the Mid-American Conference.
Ohio never trailed, and flattened Ball State 70-52 inside Worthen Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats (9-6, 1-2 MAC) opened the game with a 10-0 run and never looked back. After going up by 11 halfway through the first half, Ohio never saw the lead dip below 14 points over the final 26 minutes.
“It was a good effort, wire to wire, and a good win over a good team,” said Phillips after his team won their first MAC game in three tries.
