With the MAC’s most dominant player having a quiet day, the Bobcats had to go to Plan B.
And with that, Treg Setty’s Senior Day moment got a little brighter.
Setty had a career-high 24 points in his final regular-season home game, and Jaaron Simmons exploded for a career-high 31 points, as the Bobcats rallied for a wild, wooly — and vitally important — 103-96 overtime win over Buffalo inside the Convocation Center on Saturday.
“What an emotional, great, college basketball game,” Ohio’s relieved, and buoyant, head coach Saul Phillips said.
“And what a way (for Setty) to end it.
