Nothing seems to be going right if you’re an Ohio Bobcat running back these days, but at least the offense has wide-receiver Sebastian Smith to lean on.
Smith caught six balls for 108 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday’s 37-21 Ohio (2-2, 0-0 MAC) victory over Gardner-Webb (1-3, 0-0 Big South) at Peden Stadium. Smith caught a pair of 17-yard scores, one from starting quarterback Greg Windham in the first quarter and another in the second quarter from redshirt freshman quarterback Quinton Maxwell.
“I just gave [Smith] a chance and he goes up and makes plays,” Maxwell said.
