Eliminated from postseason consideration, the Bobcats are playing for pride this weekend in a three-game set against arch-rival Miami.
Ohio lost the opener, and took another hit, in a 10-2 loss to the RedHawks inside Bob Wren Stadium on Thursday night.
The Bobcats (22-28, 7-15 Mid-American Conference) never led and saw Miami erupt for six ninth-inning runs to blow the game open. The RedHawks (25-26, 13-9 MAC) have already secured a spot in the 2016 MAC Tournament; Ohio was eliminated following two losses last week at Western Michigan.
Ohio’s season will end on Friday, with a doubleheader starting at 10 a.
