Quarterback question arises after opener for Ohio

After one game in 2018, the Bobcats have one win in their pocket.

But Ohio may also have something that isn’t as valuable: a quarterback controversy.

Ohio head coach Frank Solich was loathe to delve into that topic after the Bobcats eventually dispatched feisty Howard, 38-32, on Saturday inside Peden Stadium. But it could be topic No. 1 for the next two weeks.

Ohio turned from starter Nathan Rourke to backup Quinton Maxwell on Saturday. Rourke, who piloted the offense to most of its record-setting numbers in 2018, started and played just three series against Howard.
