A casual glance would appear to tell you that A.J. Ouellette wasn’t able to live up to his August pledge.
“I’m not going to have a sophomore slump,” Ohio’s second-year running back vowed in preseason camp.
And yet, Ouellette — the Bobcats’ blue-collar, former walk-on, everyman — had lower offensive numbers across the board. He rushed for 143 fewer yards, caught 10 fewer passes, scored half as many touchdowns.
So was it slump? Actually, if possible, Ouellette proved to be even more valuable in 2015 than he did in his surprising debut campaign.
“You want to talk about a valuable guy?
