The last time the Ohio Bobcats played the Troy Trojans was the 2010 New Orleans bowl in which Troy crushed Ohio, 48-21. This Friday evening, the Ohio Bobcats (8-5) are seeking revenge for that game when they play the Trojans (9-3) in the 2016 Dollar General bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
Ohio is coming off the MAC championship game in which the Bobcats came up one drive short of beating the No. 17 Western Michigan Broncos. The Bobcats are looking for their first bowl win since the 2012 Independence bowl against Louisiana-Monroe.
Some analysts have described this matchup as the game of the week because of the highly anticipated collision between the Bobcats’ aggressive defense and Troy’s explosive and efficient offense.
