Ohio University hosted a men and women’s basketball doubleheader on Saturday with mixed results and a lot of excitement. The Ohio men fell 101-98 to Central Michigan in double overtime, while the women welcomed Ball State, boasting the second-best record in the Mid-American Conference, and defeated the Cardinals 80-76.
After looking at the men’s squad that was dealt two big blows at the beginning of the year and their subsequent struggles, it’s important to note that the Ohio women had arguably bigger obstacles to overcome.
This season has seen the men fall to a 9-13 overall record with a 2-8 showing in the MAC, good for last place in the conference’s East Division.
