After suffering their largest loss of the season last week, the Ohio Bobcat women needed a win to avoid their first losing streak this season. Hosting the Western Michigan Broncos on Saturday, the Bobcats did just that with a 70-56 win.
Trailing 14-11 after one quarter, the Bobcats jumped ahead in the second quarter. Outscoring the Broncos 25-10, Ohio went into halftime up 36-24.
Ohio sophomore forward Gabby Burris drained a three-point basket to open the second quarter and tie the game 14-14. The Broncos responded with a three by Leighah-Amori Wool to go back in front 17-14.
