The Ohio University women’s basketball team was slotted to finish third in the Mid-American Conference East Division in the league’s 2018-19 preseason coaches’ poll, the MAC announced Wednesday.
Ohio received three of the 12 available first-place votes and tallied 57 total points. The Bobcats were also the pick of one coach to win the 2019 MAC regular season championship.
Defending East Division champion Buffalo was the top pick in the East with 62 points and received four first-place votes. Miami received the most first-place votes in the division (5), and was second with 61 points.
Rounding out the predicted order in the East was Kent State (28 points), Bowling Green (27) and Akron (17).
