NASHVILLE — The Bobcats had a chance to pile up a second milestone victory in as many days.
Instead, Vanderbilt found a way to make sure it was business as usual.
Vanderbilt used a big first quarter, and a near-perfect day at the foul line, to hold off Ohio, 62-59, in the championship game of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday afternoon inside Memorial Gymnasium.
The Commodores (4-2), with the win, improved to 30-0 all-time in their own holiday tournament.
The loss snapped the Bobcats’ three-game winning streak and denied Ohio (3-2) its first win over an SEC opponent since 1988.
