Ohio uses a dominating running game to blow out Ball State

With the Ball State Cardinals in town, the Ohio Bobcats stayed close to the ground Thursday night and dominated. Some 411 yards rushing paved the way for a 52-14 Ohio blowout.

After Ohio quarterback Nathan Rourke was intercepted on Ohio’s second drive, the Cardinals took a 7-0 lead on an 18-yard pass from Riley Neal to Riley Miller. That’s when the floodgates opened for the Bobcats.

Ohio responded to the Ball State score with eight consecutive scoring drives, seven of which were touchdowns. The scoring streak ended in the third quarter when kicker Louie Zervos missed a field-goal attempt.
