Ohio is hoping Maxwell’s fledgling winning streak as Ohio’s starter at quarterback survives the experience.
Maxwell is 1-0 as Ohio’s first QB, but things get infinitely more difficult in start No. 2 as the Bobcats (5-3, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) travel to Toledo (6-1, 3-0 MAC) for a 7:30 p.m. start on Thursday night.
It will be Maxwell’s debut in the #MACtion spotlight. And it’s a spot where the proverbial deck is stacked against him and Ohio.
“Going up there and getting a win that not a lot of people think we’re going to get, that would be big for this program especially going into the last three games of the year,” Maxwell said.
