TOLEDO — The Bobcats have been knocked around, in both a literal and figurative sense, during the first three weeks of Mid-American Conference play.
Freshman guard Jordan Dartis is just days removed from a one-week absence following a concussion. Freshman forward Doug Taylor has been sporting a bandage for a gash under his left eye. Junior forward Kenny Kaminski has six fresh stitches in his left eyebrow after a head-on-head collision on Saturday.
But it’s the emotional setbacks that are the more pressing concern for Ohio (11-7, 2-4 MAC). The Bobcats haven’t won a road game in conference play yet this season (0-3), just saw to their offensive evaporate (49 points) in a loss at Central Michigan, and will play hungry Toledo (12-7, 3-3 MAC) in Savage Arena on Tuesday night.
