While the Ohio Bobcats had a nice victory over Alabama A&M to begin the season, the bi-name teams came out in the Gildan Charleston Classic Tournament this past week in South Carolina, and Ohio did not have the same winning results.
Ohio staged a late comeback against Clemson in Thursday’s tournament opener, but still lost 81-76 to fall into the consolation bracket and set up a meeting with Dayton. Ohio’s Gavin Block had his first career double-double against Clemson, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jordan Dartis had 18 points and four assists.
