Ohio men's basketball senior forward Antonio Campbell has suffered a broken bone in his right foot that will require season-ending surgery, third-year head coach Saul Phillips announced on Thursday.
If the Bobcats had a star, it was Campbell, and the team has struggled without him since he hurt his foot.
"We feel awful for Tony," said Phillips. "Sick to our stomach. We wish him nothing but a speedy and full recovery. We are proud of all that he's accomplished while wearing a Bobcat uniform and thank him for his many contributions to our program."
Campbell, who played in 113 games and made 83 starts over four seasons for the Bobcats, ends his Ohio career ranking 22nd in program history with 1,257 points (11.
