Friday night against the MAC East-leading Kent State Golden Flashes, the Ohio Bobcat men played at a pace much slower than their usual up-tempo style.
At first glance, it looked as if Ohio was playing Kent’s style – something that got them in trouble two weeks ago when the ’Cats lost 89-82 in Kent. According to Ohio’s Kenny Kaminski, though, that wasn’t the case this time.
“Kent plays downhill and tries to get the rim quite a bit,” he said after Friday night’s 72-61 victory over the Golden Flashes at the Convo. “We packed the paint as much as possible and tried to make them take tough shots at the rim.
