The Ohio Bobcats had their chances against the Akron Zips on Tuesday night. At several points in the game, the Bobcat men looked on the verge of taking the lead and control of the game after trailing for most of the way.
An inability to capitalize on those opportunities, however, cost Ohio (13-8, 4-5 Mid-American Conference) in the second half and culminated in a 80-68 loss to the MAC East-leading Zips (18-4, 7-2 MAC) in the second game of a three-game home stand for Ohio.
“We beat ourselves a lot,” admitted senior forward Treg Setty. “We missed a lot of easy shots.
