As long as the Bobcats keep playing, they’ll keep having chances to make history.
Kiyanna Black and the Ohio University women’s basketball team will take aim on two more significant marks on Sunday. The Bobcats (25-6) will host Virginia Tech (18-13) in a second round game of the 2016 Women’s National Invitation Tournament starting at 2 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.
Ohio, a winner over Marshall in the WNIT’s first round on Thursday, could extend its season with another win. The Ohio-Virginia Tech winner will face either Quinnipiac (25-8) or Temple (21-11) in the regional semifinals, possibly as early as Wednesday.
