On a day where the defenses of both teams dominated the other’s offense, how fitting that a defensive touchdown late in the fourth quarter sealed a 17-7 “Battle of the Bricks” victory for the Ohio Bobcats over the Miami RedHawks Saturday at Yager Stadium in Oxford.
Down three points with a minute-and a half remaining, RedHawk freshman quarterback Noah Wezensky dropped back to pass on second down at his own 13-yard-line but faced pressure from Ohio linebacker Blair Brown. Brown was about to sack Wezensky for a safety when he forced him to fumble, with the ball caught in mid-air by Ohio defensive lineman Kevin Robbins in the end-zone for a touchdown.
