Redshirt freshman guard Erica Johnson hit two free throws with five seconds left, and senior guard Dominique Doseck came up with a deflection on a potential game-tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds, as Ohio survived an upset sore, 82-79, inside the Stroh Center on Saturday afternoon.
It was the fifth straight win for the Bobcats (17-1, 6-1 Mid-American Conference) and kept Ohio tied for the top spot in the overall conference standings. But it was close in the final seconds against surprising Bowling Green (7-11, 0-7 MAC).
Ohio led by as many as 21 points in the second quarter, but saw the margin decrease every step of the way after that.
