The NCAA released its annual Academic Progress Rate (APR) report for all Division I member institutions on Wednesday.
The APR is a measure that tracks academic progress for athletes using graduation, retention and eligibility during a four-year period. A perfect score is 1,000, and individual programs that score below 930 can face consequences from college sports’ governing body including practice restrictions, playing-season reductions and scholarship reductions.
Ohio came out clean in the latest edition of the APR. All 16 of Ohio’s NCAA sanctioned programs had a four-year average of 970 or higher, a first for the university.
