The Ohio men's basketball team made three, straight defensive stops when it had to have them on the game's final possessions to hang on for a heart-stopping 79-77 victory over Mid-American Conference West Division foe Ball State (15-10, 6-6 MAC) tonight (Friday, Feb. 10) in a nationally televised matchup at Worthen Arena.
After the Bobcats took a 49-30 lead into halftime – their largest road lead of the 2016-17 season at the break – the Cardinals stormed back with a furious second-half rally in which Ball State outscored Ohio by a 47-30 count during the final 20 minutes of play.
