ATHENS, Ohio -- Jaaron Simmons had 31 points and eight assists and Jordan Dartis hit a pair of crucial 3-pointers on Saturday to help Ohio beat Buffalo 103-96 in overtime.
Ohio (19-9, 10-6) moved a game ahead of Buffalo (16-13, 9-7) in the Mid-American Conference East Division standings after both teams entered the game tied for second place. Ohio trails Akron (11-5) by one game for first place.
Dartis made both of his late 3-pointers from the same spot in the right corner -- the first capped the scoring in regulation at 85-all and the second gave the Bobcats the lead for good at 96-93 with 1:31 left in overtime.
