Jim Schaus has been the one in charge for a golden span of Ohio University Athletics.
Now Ohio has signed its lead athletics administrator for the next half decade.
Ohio announced a five-year contract extension for Schaus, the university’s Director of Athletics, on Wednesday. It means Schaus’ current contract now runs through June 30, 2021.
Schaus has been on the job for a little over eight years. Ohio President Roderick McDavis named Schaus as the top Bobcat on April 7, 2008.
“I am very appreciative of the confidence in me by the institution,” Schaus said in a prepared statement.
