For the Mid-American Conference, bowl season has NOT been the most wonderful time of the year.
It was another close loss for the conference in what has been a frustrating slate so far. Central Michigan (6-7) was hammered 55-10 by Tulsa, but since then the MAC has been one play away from winning each of the other four bowl games.
Toledo (9-4) missed a late field goal in a 31-28 loss to Appalachian State (10-3). Eastern Michigan (7-6) was clipped 24-20 by Old Dominion (10-3) in the Bahamas. Ohio (8-6) was on the wrong side of a 28-23 decision against Troy (10-3) in Mobile, and Miami (6-7) had a game-winning field goal blocked late against Miss.
