On March 1, when the Ohio Bobcat men’s team took on the Akron Zips and lost a game that would have given them a chance at landing the top seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament, junior forward Kenny Kaminski spoke a simple truth.
“These are experiences I was fortunate enough to have at Michigan State,” he remarked in a calm voice.
Kaminski, a transfer from Michigan State in his first year as Bobcat, is the only Ohio player to have played meaningful postseason basketball. In 2013-14, his one full year as a Spartan, Kaminski was part of a team that made the NCAA’s Elite Eight.
