Hardy is the last back standing, but Ohio downs G-W 37-21

But, nonetheless, it was a good day to be Bo Hardy.

Hardy, who made his first career start at strong safety, still managed to lead the Bobcats in rushing as Ohio handled Gardner-Webb, 37-21, inside Peden Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Ohio (2-2) wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a workman-like showing — not too flashy, but good enough — but it was Hardy and the perilous predicament facing the Ohio running backs that dominated conversation afterward.

Hardy, a fifth-year senior who moved from running back to safety in the spring because of the depth at the position, paced Ohio with 65 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
