The Ohio men’s basketball team is primed to build on this year’s success. The Bobcats, originally predicted to finish third in the MAC East, were not expected to be as good as they ended up being this year. But where they finished – with the second-best overall record in the regular season and getting to the conference semifinals – bodes well for next season and beyond.
The main reason the Bobcat men should feel optimistic heading into next year is because they only lose one player – senior forward Treg Setty – from this year’s squad. Both Antonio Campbell and Jaaron Simmons will be back, and both should be pre-season candidates for MAC Player of the Year.
