Conner Krizancic’s career at Ohio ended before it even started.
Per a tweet on his father’s Twitter account on June 27, Krizancic halted his career due to past concussions, as well as fear of future injuries.
Krizancic, a redshirt sophomore quarterback, sustained a concussion in Ohio’s Spring Game on April 9.
According to Cleveland.com, Krizancic visited a concussion center after the injury, and while he was expected to make a full recovery, doctors were concerned about future hits to the head.
Krizancic’s retirement comes on the heels of former cornerback Langston Provitt’s retirement due to fear of concussions.
