Football: Ohio announces its future non-conference schedule

Ohio football announced its non-conference schedule Tuesday, including match ups with SEC, Big 12, ACC, Big Ten and AAC teams through the year 2021.

The schedule includes Ohio hosting its first Big 12 opponent ever in Kansas on Sept. 16, 2017.

“I believe that our football strategic scheduling model has been successful during the past seven years,” Jim Schaus, Director of Athletics, said in a statement. “Our goal then was to consistently have six home games and offer a balanced and competitive approach which did not overschedule the team. I believe that it has been successful as it has contributed to our success on the field, participation in five postseason bowl games and growing attendance to its highest level ever and best in our conference.
