There’s more than one way to win basketball games in the Mid-American Conference.
Two of those competing styles pursuing the same goal will clash on Friday night when Ohio takes on Kent State in a late (9 p.m.) start inside the Convocation Center.
The Bobcats (9-3, 1-0 MAC) try to win with prowess from 3-point range and an improving defense. For the Golden Flashes (9-5, 1-0 MAC) the formula involves getting to the rim and cleaning up on the offensive glass.
Only one approach will remain undefeated after the first week of league play. Ohio head coach Saul Phillips said if Ohio wants to contend for a championship, games like the one on Friday are essential.
