It’s June, and for college football that means it’s the season for preseason predictions and honors list.
The Ohio University football team received the first such recognition this week with the announcement of the Athlon Sports’ 2016 All-Mid-American Conference preseason squads. All told, the Bobcats had eight players tabbed for the media outlet’s lists.
Junior linebacker Quentin Poling headed the list by being named First Team All-MAC Preseason. Poling was a third team all-conference pick at the end of last season after notching four interceptions, two defensive scores and team-highs of 69 total tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss.
