While six Mid-America Conference teams already have played a game against a conference foe, the Ohio Bobcats (1-2) have one more non-conference bout on Saturday before the season gets interesting.
The UMass Minutemen (2-3) come into Athens on Saturday after winning its first game in four weeks. Ohio is returning to Peden Stadium on a down note after falling to Virginia on Sept. 15 and blowing a 21-0 lead to Cincinnati on Sept. 22.
The Bobcats edged out the Minutemen 58-50 in last season’s meeting when Ohio quarterback Nathan Rourke and running back A.J. Ouellette both rushed for more than 100 yards.
