Every one-seed has advanced to the final four, the first time since 2008, coincidentally both times the final four taking place in San Antonio. While the road through the tournament is never given, raising a question about how NIL has impacted colleges with less money for athletics. Will this become more and more popular with increase of NIL money, or is this just a happenstance?

The closest a lower seed has gotten was 10-seeded Arkansas making the sweet 16, losing a close game to 3-seeded Texas Tech in overtime off of a walk-off layup from Darrion Williams.
