The Bobcats were dead and buried. Kaput. Zapped. After 34 games, Ohio was ready to acquiesce to the off-season at last.
However, Jordan Dartis and Jaaron Simmons had other ideas.
Simmons broke an iconic Ohio record and had 11 points and two assists in the final 7:45, and Dartis made the Convo roar with a pair of late 3-pointers as the Bobcats stunned UNC-Greensboro 72-67 on Monday night.
Ohio (23-11) trailed by 15 points with less than eight minutes remaining in the 2016 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) quarterfinals, but staged a remarkable comeback to keep its season alive.
