When the Ohio University men’s basketball team wraps up non-conference play, with a home game against UC Riverside on Wednesday night, the Bobcats will have a full complement of scholarship players for the first time this season.
No, the Bobcats didn’t find a transfer. Instead, Ohio decided to reward one of its own.
Following practice on Monday, head coach Saul Phillips announced told his team that junior guard Andrew Crabtree would be receiving a scholarship for the spring semester.
Crabtree, a three-year walk-on, was promptly mobbed by his teammates in celebration.
