Even now, in its finished-but-not-quite state, the new center-hung video board inside Ohio University’s Convocation Center is an eye-catcher.
Even Ohio Director of Athletics Jim Schaus, who has seen the project unfold about 30 yards from his office door all summer, couldn’t take his eyes off it during a question-and-answer session about the project on Thursday.
“It’s something that fits the quality of the Convocation Center,” Schaus said, gazing up at the board — with its rectangle shape incorporating four different video boards. “The size, the resolution, it all came together perfectly.
It certainly makes that kind of impression.
