It only takes a couple minutes spent with Ohio men’s basketball coach Saul Phillips to know that he’s always in a great mood. It’s just the type of guy he is.
“(Phillips) is an everyday guy – the way you see him today is the way you’ll see him tomorrow,” junior point guard Jaaron Simmons said. “He doesn’t have a bad day, and if he does have a bad day you won’t be able to tell.”
With the regular season opener this coming Saturday in the Convocation Center, Phillips can’t help but feel happy when examining the Bobcat roster that he’s built from the bottom up since arriving in Athens three years ago.
