Multiple sources have confirmed that the University of Virginia and Ohio University spent much of Tuesday working out details to move Saturday’s scheduled football game from Charlottesville, Va. to Nashville, Tenn.

Virginia finally made it official around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon with the announcement that it’s home game against Ohio on Saturday has been relocated from Scott Stadium to Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville.

The game will now have a kickoff time of 4:30 ET p.m. on Saturday; it was previously set to begin at 3 p.m.

The decision to move the game was necessitated by the imminent arrival of Hurricane Florence, which is expected to batter the coast from South Carolina through Virginia this weekend.
